Close Up Interview: Tille Marie Breda

What do you work with at Svensson Nøkleby?

I work mainly with transactions, that is, buying and selling companies, a lot of real estate companies. I also work a lot with reorganizations of companies through mergers and demergers, and otherwise all kinds of company changes.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

I try to get to the office as early as possible after the logistics at home have been taken care of, and I usually manage to get home for dinner and possibly pick up children. Therefore, I try to be efficient during normal office hours, but at the same time it is important to have time for a little chat with colleagues, and to sit down in the canteen with lunch. It's really nice now that everyone is back in the office again!

How do you juggle the role of a busy stepmother with the role of a lawyer?

I try as much as possible to plan and be prepared - then most things go a little easier. And I am very lucky to have such a nice, interesting and good workplace here in Drammen, with a short distance to both home and kindergarten / school. Of course, it is also an advantage that I can be flexible at work, so that everyday logistics go smoothly. A good home office is important so that I can get home in the afternoon, but easily log on again in the evening after the children are in bed. A man with a flexible job and some grandparents in the background is also not to be despised…

What do you like best about your job?

Being able to come up with good solutions and being able to help the customer with exactly what he or she needs. Meeting nice people and collaborating with very talented and nice colleagues, is also something I really appreciate.

How do you think digitalisation will affect the legal profession in the years to come?

It has probably changed something already, and it will probably continue, but I think it is for the best. New digital aids are gold, but I think the heads can never be replaced. Nor is it that people meet.
