Svensson Nøkleby is strengthening its focus on employment law and expanding its team to seven lawyers. The latest addition is Viktor Kvalsvik Holskjær, who joins as an associate in one of the firm's largest practice groups.
Svensson Nøkleby's employment law team continues to grow
In recent years, employment law has been a strategic focus area for the firm. Increased demand for assistance in employment law, HR-related issues and corporate governance has contributed to significant growth, both in terms of the volume of work and professional capacity.
Recruiting from within our own ranks
Holskjær has been associated with Svensson Nøkleby in recent years through the trainee programme and as a legal clerk. Having completed his Master's degree in Law at the University of Oslo in June, he is now joining the employment law team and will also be working closely with the firm's sports law practice.
– My experiences over the past year at the firm have been entirely positive, both professionally and socially. I quickly felt that this is a place where I fit in, and a place where I really want to be. When the opportunity arose to join both the sports law and employment law teams, the choice was easy. These are two teams with strong professional expertise in areas of law that appeal to my interests, and an ideal place for my continued learning, says Holskjær.
At the same time, this appointment forms part of the firm's long-term commitment to developing its own talent.
– We have a clear ambition to build the firm through both experienced specialists and young talents with great potential. Viktor is an example of how we take a long-term approach to recruitment and skills development. We want to be a place where talented young lawyers can grow, develop and stay with us over the long term, says Managing Partner Odd Hylland.
Further growth
As a result of increased demand for employment law services, Svensson Nøkleby has strengthened its specialist team in recent years. At the start of the year, Erik Flågan was brought on board to bolster the experienced part of the team, whilst also bringing valuable expertise in sports law. With the recent appointment of Viktor Kvalsvik Holskjær, the employment law team now comprises seven lawyers.

– As we looked to expand further, it was natural to seek out a younger talent with great potential for development. Viktor has made a very good impression on us during his time with the firm, both through his commitment, his professional curiosity and his thorough approach to his work. With Viktor on the team, we are further strengthening the team's capacity and expertise, to the benefit of our clients. We are therefore delighted that he is now continuing with us as a permanent member of the team, says Ronny van der Meij, who heads the employment law department alongside Per Karsten Wahl.
The employment law team at Svensson Nøkleby now consists of Erik Flågan, Tom Olav Andreassen, Kristina Birkelund Renstrøm, Tiril Rogndokken Stokke, Per Karsten Wahl, Ronny van der Meij and Viktor Kvalsvik Holskjær, and assists employers and businesses across the country with both day-to-day advice and dispute resolution.
